Day 1 : Arrive in ChennaiWelcome to India. Arrive at Chennai Airport, the city of India’s southern gateway and proceed to your hotel. Later proceed to short city tour of Chennai, visit The Kapaleeswara temple, Santhome Church, Fort George and National Art Gallery. Overnight stay in Chennai.
Day 2 : Chennai – Kanchipuram – Mahabalipuram (Approximate 150 km / 4 hrs by road)Early morning depart from Chennai for your onward journey to Mahabalipuram via Kanchipuram. Kanchipuram is one of the seven sacred cities of India, it famous for its thousand temples. Proceed to Mahabalipuram – a quaint town on the Coromendel coast known for its 7th century rock cut temples belonging to the Pallava dynasty on the sea shore. Arrive at Mahabalipuram and check-in to your hotel. Evening is at leisure to stroll on the sandy beaches. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.
Day 3 : Mahabalipuram – City TourEnjoy your visit to the magnificent Dravidian style of temples in Mahabalipuram, the Shiva and Vishnu temple and the five rathas (chariots) associated with the great epic of Mahabharata. Overnight stay in Mahabalipuram.
Day 4 : Mahabalipuram – Pondicherry (Approximate 162 km / 4 hrs by road)Early morning depart from Mahabalipuram to Pondicherry, a town known for its colonial French connection. Arrive at Pondicherry and check-in to your hotel. Later enjoy your visit to beach and stroll along the promenade. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
Day 5 : PondicherryToday visit Sri Aurobindo's Ashram and Auroville. Sri Aurobindo Ghaose philosophy is derived in a combination of yoga and modern science. Enjoy your visit to Ashram. Later dive back to hotel. Evening is free at leisure. Overnight stay in Pondicherry.
Day 6 : Pondicherry – Chidambaram – Thanjavur (Approximate 170 km / 6 hrs by road)Morning depart from Pondichery to Thanjavur, the ancient temple town. Enroute visit Nataraja temple in Chidambaram dedicated to lord Vishnu and Shiva. Arrive in Thanjavur and check-in to your hotel. Later visit Brihadeshwara Temple which was built in the 10th century by the Chola kings. Overnight stay in Thanjavur.
Day 7 : Thanjavur – Trichy – Thanjavur (Approximate 120 km one way / 3 hrs by road)Today enjoy full day excursion to Trichy. Visit the most famous landmarks of this bustling town, Rockfort Temple. Also visit Srirangam Temple, consists of 7 concentric walls and 21 towers or gopurams. Drive back to Thanjavur for overnight stay.
Day 8 : Thanjavur – Madurai (Approximate 130 km / 3 ½ hrs)Morning depart from Thanjavur to Madurai, known for Meenakshi temples. On arrival check-in to your hotel. Later enjoy city tour of Madurai covering the famous Meenakshi Temple and Tirumala Naik Palace. In the evening attend Aarti (Sacred Prayers) in Meenakshi Temple. Overnight stay in Madurai.
Day 9 : MaduraiToday proceed to Madurai Airport to board the flight to your next destination or hometown with fond memories to cherish for a lifetime.
