Day 1 : AhmedabadOn arrival, proceed & check in at hotel. Founded in 1411 and known as the Manchester of the ‘East’, Ahmedabad is situated on the banks of the river Sabarmati. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 2 : Ahmedabad – City TourToday proceed for city tour of Ahmedabad. Visit to Calico museum, Jama Masjid and Sdi mosque, famous for it’s shaking minarets. Ahmedabad is full of architectural delights with exquisite carved wooden mansions, havelis and labyrinthine lanes. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
Day 3 : Ahmedabad – Lothal - Bhavnagar (approx 175 kms/ 5 hrs)Today morning Drive to Bhavnagar visiting en-route 4000 year old excavation site of Harappan era at Lothal. Overnight stay in Bhavnagar.
Day 4 : Bhavnagar – Diu (approx 205 kms/ 6 hrs)Today drive to Palitana to visit the impressive hilltop Jain temple complex reached by steep stairs. Continue on to Diu. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Diu.
Day 5 : DiuToday morning proceed for sightseeing of Diu, a Portuguese colony until 1961. Visit the fort built by the Portuguese in 1541. The island has a Mediterranean feel and reflects the Portuguese colonial period architecture. Rest of the day is free for leisure. Overnight stay in Diu.
Day 6 : Diu – Sasangir (approx 100 kms/ 2 hrs 30 mins)Today drive to Somnath to see the spectacular shore temple. Somnath is the holiest of Hindu pilgrimages, with thousands of years of history. Drive on to Sasangir the home of the Asiatic lion and over 30 species of mammals. Overnight stay in Sasangir.
Day 7 : SasangirToday morning and afternoon game viewing inside the park. Rest of the day at leisure. Overnight stay in Sasangir.
Day 8 : Sasangir – Gondal (approx 120 kms/ 3 hrs)Today drive to Junagadh and visit 250 BC Ashokan Rock Edicts and the Museum at the Junagadh. Continue on to Gondal. Visit the palace museum housing memorable collection of antiques. View the royal collection of vintage cars. Overnight stay in Gondal.
Day 9 : Gondal – Bhuj (approx 280 kms/ 7 hrs 30 mins)Today morning leave for Bhuj, an old walled city with maze like streets and crenellated gateways. Afternoon tour visiting the Ferguson Museum, Rao Pragmalji's Palace made of marble and sandstone. Overnight stay in Bhuj.
Day 10 : BhujToday Explore the tribal villages, specializing in different forms of handicraft including ahir embroidery, block printing and tie and dye. Overnight stay in Bhuj.
Day 11 : Bhuj – Bajana (approx 260 kms/ 7 hrs)Today drive to Dasada. Enjoy a game drive in the little Rann of Kutch to see the Asiatic wild Ass. Overnight stay in Bajana.
Day 12 : Bajana – Little Rann of Kutch – BajanaToday enjoy a game drive in the little Rann of Kutch to see the Asiatic wild Ass. Overnight stay in Bajana.
Day 13 : Bajana – Ahmedabad (approx 100 kms/ 2 hrs 30 mins)Today morning leave for Ahmedabad visiting en route the Sun temple at Modhera and the city of Patan for Patola Silk weaving and Step Well. Overnight stay in Ahmedabad.
